Our experience includes the design of lime softening treatment systems; filtration treatment systems; membrane treatment systems; ultra-violet (UV) disinfection systems; chlorine, sodium hypochlorite and calcium hypochlorite liquid chemical disinfection systems; chlorine gas disinfection systems; and sodium hypochlorite generation facilities.

Our experience includes raw water supply mains, water transmission mains and water distribution mains in both rural and highly urbanized areas. We have designed small community pipelines to large 42-inch transmission mains.

Wastewater Treatment Facilities
From the design of small 25,000 gallons-per-day (gpd) wastewater package treatment plants to large 180 million gallons-per-day (mgd) municipal advanced wastewater treatment facilities, our team has experience in various treatment processes including: activated sludge systems, trickling filters, rotating biological contactors, biological nutrient removal (BNR) systems, chemical precipitation, effluent filtration systems, chlorination and UV disinfection systems, sludge handling and stabilization systems, bio-solids handling systems, facultative ponds, land treatment systems and constructed wetlands.
Wastewater Collection Systems
Our experience includes the analysis and design of new and existing sanitary sewers, force-mains and wastewater pump stations.
Mark Drummond, P.E., BCEE
Mr. Drummond has over 23 years of engineering design experience on water infrastructure projects for clients in Florida, the Caribbean and Latin America totaling over $300 million. These projects include masterplans for Palm Beach County, Broward County and the City of Riviera Beach; the Headworks Rehabilitation for the 38 mgd Fort Lauderdale Wastewater Treatment Plant; new Aguadulce 12 mgd Surface Water Treatment Plant and surface water intake facility; conversion of Riviera Beach’s 16mgd wet-pit dry pit master wastewater pump station to a new above-ground inline booster pump station; new 17.5 mgd sodium hypochlorite disinfection facility; and Value Engineering for Miami Dade Water and Sewer Department for the Headworks Rehabilitation at 112 mgd North District Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and for the new Injection Well Surface Facilities at the 143 mgd Central District WWTP.

Senior Solids Handling Consultant
Mr. Moore specializes in engineering and project management services related to biosolids management, drinking water, and wastewater treatment, and has over 45 years of experience in the planning, design, and construction of major water and wastewater facilities in the United States and overseas. Mr. Moore’s project involvement includes managing major public utility projects in the areas of biosolids management and solids handling, water supply, treatment, and distribution; wastewater collection, treatment, and disposal. He was Project Manager and lead design engineer for solids handling improvements on Tampa Bay Water’s 122 mgd surface water supply project, and the Senior Technical Advisor for Miami Dade County Biosolids Master Plan which evaluated the existing biosolids program for all of MDWASDs three regional wastewater treatment plants.
Jennifer Prettel, PE, PMP
Senior Project Manager
Mrs. Prettel has over 9 years of experience in the planning, design, and permitting of water distribution systems, wastewater collection and transmissions systems, and water reuse systems. Mrs. Prettel specializes in hydraulic modeling and asset management and was responsible for creating and maintaining the water and wastewater hydraulic models for the Palm Beach County Water Utilities Department with over 2,456 miles of water mains, more than 193,000 connections and over 1000 wastewater pump stations with 647 miles of force mains. Mrs. Prettel is a certified Project Management Professional and maintains NASSCO MACP, PACP, and LACP certifications.
